Medical Examinations (Non NHS)
Certain services provided by the Doctors are not covered by the NHS and fees are payable for such items as:
- Large Good Vehicle (LGV) & Passenger Service Vehicle (PSV) licences
- Elderly driver licences
- Insurance
- Preemployment medicals
- Private certificates
- Holiday vaccinations
- Insurance claims
- Fitness for sports
Please ask the receptionist for such services. Charges are payable at the time of attendance, and the British Medical Association (BMA) recommended scale of fees is on display at the reception desk. For further information please see Why does my doctor charge fees?

In addition to the Essential Services provided by the practice, the practice also provides the following Additional Services:
- Childhood Vaccinations and Immunisations
- Flu and Pneumococcal Immunisations
- Minor Surgery
- Anti Coagulation Monitoring
- Services to patients who are alcohol users
- Post Natal Examinations
- Contraceptive Injections
- Medical Services for Reablement and Respite Care Beds
- Rheumatoid Monitoring
Our Practice Nurse offers the following services:
- First aid advice, Blood and Urine Tests, Dressings, removal of stitches etc
- Adult and Childhood Immunisations
- Travel Immunisations
- Cervical Smears and Contraception Services
- Family Planning
- Health Promotion
- Advice on Diet.
Community physiotherapy, chiropody and occupational therapy can be arranged locally by the practice.

The Health Visitors are available to help with health matters relating to the under 5 year olds and their families. For example, feeding difficulties and sleep problems.
The Health Visitors can be contacted on 0300 3033 923.
The practice is actively engaged in health promotion. In particular, we can arrange primary prevention. For example, immunisations, smears and screening, for example include blood pressure checks.

The District Nursing team are available to see you in your own home if you are housebound. They will help with dressings and removal of sutures, advice and care of the acutely and chronically sick and terminally ill and advice on incontinence and supplying pads and other aids.

Family Planning Advice and treatment is available by appointment with a Advanced Clinical Practitioner as well as a Doctor or Practice Nurse.
Community Psychiatric Nurses provide a counselling service for our patients. Patients will need to be referred for this by their Doctor.
